Green Field OSB Plant - Athabasca, Alberta
Client: Tolko
Location: Athabasca, Alberta
Services: Full-Service Engineering
Description: KTC engineered Tolko's Green-field OSB/OSL plant in the province of Alberta, Canada. The plant produces 750 Million ft2/yr (3/8" basis). The plant have an 8ft x 231ft Continuous Press. The services included planning, preliminary engineering, capital cost budgeting, project management, scheduling, standards, specifications, RFQ's, COT's, and equipment purchasing assistance. During the execution phase, KTC provided services such as Mass and Energy Balances (process), mechanical, civil, electrical and structural engineering, including construction management assistance.

Greenfield OSB Plant - Inverness, Scotland
Client: West Fraser
Location: Inverness, Scotland

Description: KTC engineered West Fraser's Green-field OSB plant at Inverness, Scotland. The plant produces 600 Million ft2/yr (3/8" basis). The services included planning, preliminary engineering, capital cost budgeting, project management, scheduling, RFQ's, COT's, and equipment purchasing assistance.

Green Field Pellet Plant - High Level, Alberta
Client: Northen Pellet (Collaboration between Drax and Tolko)
Location: High Level, Alberta
Services: Full-Service Engineering
Description: KTC was chosen by Northen Pellet to complete the design and management for a design of a greenfield pellet plant in the province of Alberta, Canada. The plant produces 200 metric tons of wood pellets. The plant have 1 flat belt dryer, 6 pelletizers, 2 hammermills and 1 rail loading. The services included equipment procurement, detailed specifications, scheduling, process design, structural design, mechanical design, foundation design, detailed equipment design, and electrical design.

Brown Field Pellet Plant Dryer Upgrade- Williams Lake, BC
Client: Drax
Location: Williams Lake, BC
Services: Full-Service Engineering
Description: KTC was chosen by Drax to complete the design and management for the dryer upgrade. This includes the addition of the flat bed dryer, a hammermill building and a new fire protection system. The services included equipment procurement, detailed specifications, scheduling, process design, structural design, mechanical design, 3D scanning, foundation design, detailed equipment design, and electrical design.
